It's been a fun, busy summer for us. The boys turned 16 months old on July 21 so I thought I would write 16 things about the boys...
1. Cade loves climbing anything, everything, repeatedly. Calin wishes he could. He just watches Cade and grunts as he tries to climb but can't get off the ground!
2. They still don't understand what no means. Right now they think it's funny when we say it and it seems to egg them on.
3. They're sleeping in more!! It's not just a fluke morning or two. They have been sleeping in until about 7am and some days 7:30am! This could be our early Christmas present from the boys.
4. They love hanging out with all 4 of their cousins. We are lucky to all live in the same city and are able to see each other often. Austin, Owen, and Bailey are always playing with the boys and keeping them occupied. When the boys are playing with little Owen they just like to watch him as he crawls around.
5. Both boys are doing so much better in swimming pools. It's been a much cooler summer but any warm night after Tom gets home from work we head over to the pool. Now instead of running from the water they run towards. At the pool near our house they love climbing the water tower and don't mind getting splashed. We've been working on going under water too.
6. Calin loves blowing bubbles when I try to have him drink out of a cup. He also blows bubbles in the tub and pool.
7. Both boys have been "talking" a lot but Tom and I don't know what they're saying. We're pretty sure they know to associate saying Daddy when they see Tom.
8. The boys love to be chased. When their cousins Owen and Bailey were over recently each cousin had another cousin to chase. The boys were running around yelling as O & B chased them. I have a video I'll try to post. They also like to run away when you pick them up in their crib. Cade has a nice shiner under his eye from running away from me and into the crib:-(
9. Both boys can cover their eyes when playing hide and seek but like to play it most when eating! Calin nows says boo when playing. When I ask what sound does a cow make he says boo for that too.
10. They still play really well with each other and don't often fight over a toy. There are, however, a few things worth fighting and biting over. Tom has seen one bite the other after taking a pacifier. Sippy cups and this chair that plays music when you sit on it are two others that are apparently worth it. Calin has become a random biter recently but I'm hoping this passes over quickly.
11. Calin loves books and will bring one to anyone around. He seems to talk a lot about the book and points to pictures. Cade likes books too but he'll bring you one and walk away as he listens.
12. The title could also be monkey see monkey do. They really are a team when it comes to curiosity and they figure things out quicker together!
13. They love to make each other laugh especially by falling. They crack up when the other is running, trips and falls. Or one will stand on something and fall knowing the other will laugh at him.
14. Recently, they have been taking 2 really good naps. Hope I didn't jinx myself by saying that!
15. Cade likes to be on all fours and look under his legs. Today I saw him try to do it at the pool. It was too funny to see him with his butt in the air just looking between his legs.
16. The boys love it when they get to take their shirts off before bed and run around! They could've been crying for hours but once those shirts are off they go crazy running around laughing!
Our barrier didn't last long. If we could understand them I think they said, "Seriously, is this all you have!"

The boys' first ice cream sandwich went over really well! Cade finished first and this picture is of Cade's hand after grabbing Calin's last bite. I'm not sure if Calin realized what happened....
