3...I mean 9 month update

I've been a little behind but wanted to post pictures from the past couple months. Summer was a busy, fun time and I can't believe it's over already! The boys loved the pool and became little fish as the summer went on. Fall was great watching cousins play sports, cheering on the Bucks, and in November we celebrated Mike and Helen's wedding. Christmas the boys were spoiled by family and we had fun with indoor activities. March 23 is our due date for the newest addition to the family, a baby girl! The boys can't wait to hold (wrestle) with her. Since September the boys have been going to a Mom's Day Out program every Friday for a couple hours. The teachers are great and we could open an art gallery with the amount of art they do every week! They love learning songs, learning about the stories of the bible, and of course art class.

Hilton Head

We had a great time in Hilton Head and the drive was...better than last year. They each had their own tv screen, any kind of food they wanted, we stopped at a playground for an hour, and in the 12 hour trip down they slept for 15 min each! The beach was a favorite in the beginning of the week but the condo pool and pond full of turtles quickly won the boys over. Each day at the beach Tom and Uncles JR and Brian would dig a deep hole for the boys to play in. They loved smashing any sandcastles we'd build. Cade still ate a little of the sand this year in case it tasted different than last year.

Calin didn't like being in the hole and quickly got out.

Calin was mad because he just wanted to come to the beach and eat snacks. So he took off, then threw his hat down to prove how mad he was at us and took off with Cade chasing.

After a morning in the water the boys chilled out on the couch waiting for lunch.

Calin found his nipple!

May

Looking cool in their sunglasses. We wanted to start them early so when we went down to Hilton Head they would be ok wearing them. They ended up wearing hats:)

Handsome haircuts

The boys loved the homemade ice cream shakes!

Boys having fun on our new patio. I don't think we're going to have room for adult furniture.

Our friend Caroline and her mom Julie came over for a visit. The boys were fascinated with...the exersaucer they hadn't seen many months! Caroline liked all of the attention and apparently Cade tells hilarious jokes:)

March 21st--2 years old today!

Tom and I can't believe 2 years have gone by! The boys have grown so quickly and every day is a race it seems. A race to move things out of arms reach on the counter, a race to close the bathroom door, a race to make any meal, a race to load them in the car(whoever isn't being loaded tries to shut and lock the door), and of course a race to get anything done during their naps! But with each day passing they become a little less mischievous in their old ways and curious in other ways. They like to play with each and tell each other no! Cade loves tv and will watch it as long as it's on. Calin will watch but also likes to play during it. They LOVE playing outside. Cade usually has a ball in his hands. Yesterday we took a walk around our neighborhood and Cade carried a soccer ball the whole walk:) Both boys have become very good at taking their clothes off, especially Calin. If we don't get them from their crib right after they wake up the clothes start coming off! Calin can be very helpful and likes to do things for you. Cade loves to tickle others:) Both are 35 inches tall and weigh about 27 lbs. They were squirming all over the place so I'm not sure if the measurements are that accurate.
We had beautiful weather for their birthday party and are so lucky to have a lot of family & friends close by to come celebrate with us. The boys were not interested in their cakes and after blowing out the candles they ran back outside to play! The monkey pinata was a big hit and the young ones learned to take the wrapper off the candy first. Tom and I are ready for another exciting year ahead with the boys!

January

Not too much went on during the winter. We just tried to stay busy inside and were able to see a lot of friends and cousins!
