Merry Christmas!

We visited both sides of the family after opening a couple presents at our house in the morning.

Christmas

Santa!

The boys went to see Santa today. Not sure what to think of him but they didn't fuss or cry.

Long winter

November and December were mostly spent inside getting over colds and the stomach virus-which we all had! If one has the start of a cold we try to keep things separated but the other one always ends up with it anyways. We played a lot, worked on their mobility(rolling), and eating.
Tom and I think they are looking a lot more alike now that the difference in their weight is getting smaller.

In this picture I wanted to show how the boys play together. The toys are spread out evenly between the two and within a couple minutes Cade will have grabbed everything he can. Calin is content if he finds a pacifier.
Unfortunately we'll have to wait until next year for the Bears:(

Calin has been a good, fast eater and usually finishes before Cade. Here it looks like he is looking for seconds!

Happy Thanksgiving!

The boys had fun at their first Thanksgiving and seeing everyone. They tried some real mashed potatoes but had their turkey dinner out of a jar:)

The boys saw their doctor last week and Calin weighed 20lbs 4oz and Cade weighed 18lbs 14oz.

We had been checking their gums for a bit waiting for their teeth to pop through and suddenly they did! The trouble is trying to get a picture of them... The boys just wanted to ham it up for the camera.

7 months old!

The boys are 7 months old! We went to the doctors office today and Calin is 19lbs 1oz and Cade is 17lbs 13oz. They have been working on sitting up by themselves and still need a little bit of help. The boys have also been talking more, smiling at each other, rolling back and forth all the time, and of course drooling a lot! Both have one tooth trying to poke through. The teething hasn't been too bad but they do have some moments where it seems like it bothers them. The boys have been sleeping through the night for about a month now since we weened them off their nighttime bottle. I wished we would've thought of doing that earlier! What a difference sleep makes!

Boo at the Zoo

Tonight we went to Boo at the Zoo. Calin went as Pooh bear and Cade as Tigger. They looked so cute in their costumes and lasted longer than we thought. We went with a scary witch(Bailey), a dragon(Owen) and some of their friends.

Smarter than you might think....

Feeding the boys solids has been fun and just a little messy.
In these pictures it looks like Cade knew how to avoid eating any bit of food and he's proud of it!! Of course I can't help laughing either.



I usually feed the two of them at the same time and they are always interested in the other's opinion of what they are being fed. This also means the pureed peas get smeared all the way up to their ears as they turn their heads! At least they don't mind right now that I put their hands under the table. I'm not sure how long it will last before they complain or can get their hands out but I'm hoping it will be a little bit longer!

Cousin Owen's baptism

Sunday we got together with Darren's family for Owen's baptism. The weather was great and the 3 little ones were all very good during the ceremony. It helped that the twins had uncles to play with them!


At least I'm taller than Owen!! Should've worn higher heels...

Lynd Apple orchard

Today we went to the apple orchard with Brooke, Owen, Bailey, and Grandma Morris. The boys were content and just wanted to look around. I just bought an apple peeler and will try out some apple recipes!

Sitting up

The boys aren't able to sit up by themselves yet but they are working on it. They love their toes and try to eat them whenever they get a chance. Yesterday I was feeding Calin a bottle as he tried to grab his feet. Not the easiest to feed a bottle to a squirming little boy!

Brooke found a walker and exersaucer at a baby sale for the boys. Who knew what Cade would find hilarious!

Congratulations Shelley and Andy!

This weekend we travelled up to Toledo for Tom's cousin Shelley's wedding. It was great to see everyone. Cade especially loved hanging out--he stayed up until we left at 11pm! Such the social butterfly.
